Urology and Nephrology

Nephrology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the treatment of diseases that affect the kidneys. Urology is a branch of medicine dealing with the urogenital or urinary system and its diseases. Nephrology and Urology share some overlap because they both involve issue or problems related to kidney. While a nephrologist focuses on diseases and conditions that affect the kidney more directly, a urologist focuses on diseases and conditions that can affect the male and female urinary tract.
